Mississippi County Health Department - Avoid Alcohol and Drugs When Caring for an Infant

Adults who are impaired with drugs or alcohol can roll on top of their infant during sleep; and often do not realize when they are suffocating their baby. 

The infant can become lodged between the wall and mattress, causing suffocation. Avoid the use of alcohol and drugs when caring for an infant.
