78.5% of Mississippi County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 12,976 citizens living in Mississippi County in 2021, 78.5% were old enough to vote, equating to 10,186 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 5,616 were male, constituting 55.1%, and 4,570 were female, making up 44.9%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Mississippi County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 77.3%.
