4% of citizens unemployed in Scott County in 2021

Scott County recorded an unemployment rate of 4% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 726 people out of the 38,161 living in Scott County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Scott County has increased compared to the 3.9% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Scott County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 4.5%.

Of the 17,232 people who had a job during that time, 43 were employed in the Armed Forces and 17,189 belonged to the civilian labor force.
