On Saturday, Feb. 1, former Kennett High School standout Payton Heinley’s current college team, the Southeastern Oklahoma State Savage Storm, lost 8-5 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Emporia State Hornets.

The game took place at Wendell Simmons Field. This was their first matchup against the Hornets this season.

The Savage Storm’s next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 2 at 6:30 p.m. at Wendell Simmons Field against Central Oklahoma Bronchos.
